This is a huge diaper sale that everyone knows about. The Huggies coupon was (and still is) up for a much longer time than I originally anticipated, and so probably everyone has the coupon now, and knows to try it at their local Walgreens starting Sunday. I don't shop on Sundays, and so it's very possible come Monday morning there will not be a single Huggies diaper or wipe package left at any Walgreens for a 50 mile radius around my house. I'm not discouraged, and you need to promise me that you won't get discouraged and swear off couponing forever because your Walgreens was out of these diapers when you went to get them. Ok, ready to move on?
Here's the plan.
Early Monday morning: I'm going to call the 3 Walgreens near my home and see if any of them have ANY diapers left. If so I will go right then and purchase my diapers before my husband leaves for work. (It doesn't matter what size, you can always go back and exchange them for the size you need with the receipt- but you can't get this deal later.)
IF they are out, I will ask each store when they restock, or when they expect a new diaper shipment to come in. I then will mark that on my calendar and make sure I make it to that store when they are restocking. (Since this is RR deal, you can't just get a raincheck, because the RR deal won't be working then.)
IF I go and they still run out 5 minutes after I call and before I can get to the store, I will use my high value coupons at Target for some wipes, ($5.99 for a big pack of gentle care wipes- so after coupon $.99) or Walmart for gentle care changing pads. ($2.99- so after $5 coupon you get $2 overage!) The coupons are for any gentle care product, so these fit the qualifications of the coupon. Or just purchase your diapers somewhere else when they are on sale for $10, $5 is still a great deal for a whole pack of diapers.
Having a plan makes it so you don't spend very much time running around, and maximizes your ability to succeed. Let me know how it goes, or if you have more questions. Happy couponing!
