My Albertsons and Buy Low shopping trips!

Wednesday I went to the library for storytime and lunch on the grass. After we ran over to the Buy Low and hit it's Wednesday craziness I wanted to run to Albertsons- but my little boy was having a rough time- and I didn't know if we could make it. I decided in the end to run in since I was right there, I had everything ready, and I could be really fast. Boy am I glad I did!

Here's what I got at the Buy Low:

  • 5 lbs of chicken
  • 2 loaves of french bread
  • 1 Watermelon- 10 lbs
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 6 peaches
  • 8 apples
  • 3 bananas
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1 lb of ham
I paid $12.65 for all of that! Since they don't tell me regular prices on the items on my receipt I don't know how much I saved- but I'm sure it was a lot considering I got the apples at 5lbs for $1 and the such like.

Albertsons is where the REAL deals begin though...

I got the normal Kraft deals posted on the grocerysmarts list- but then there were baby items in two big grocery carts on clearance. The food, spoons and wipes were .10 each and the cups and packs of toddler dinner sets were $1.00! And I was in need of some sippy cups- especially the one with a straw in it- GIDDINESS!!! (I could probably resell some of these and make a good profit especially as many of these expiration dates aren't for another year- but I have a hard time buying something and reselling it for a higher price- I think everyone wants to find things at the best price- and if I found it cheaper I either need to keep it or let someone else take it for that price. I don't know what's wrong with me- I'm sure I could make a lot of money reselling things I get for so cheap, but I can't do it. Kudos to you that can though!)

  • 18 toddler dinners
  • 2-4 packs of baby juice- carrot and apple
  • 1 4- pack of baby bananas (yes that was .10 too)
  • 7 juice yogurt baby blends
  • 3- 2 packs of toddler spoons for learning how to eat- and the food really does stay on the spoon amazingly well!
  • 2 toddler baby einstein dinner packs- these retail for $11.99 at Walmart!
  • 4 sippy cups
  • 1 Lansinoh 80 ct wipe travel case- yes this was .10 too!
  • 6 baby food in jars- stage 3 food.
  • 4 Hawaiians Own frozen juice concentrate
  • 2 bottles of balsamic vinegar
  • 2 bags of Kraft Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 Country Time lemonade powder cans- And $1 catalina printed for buying two of these!
  • 3 big boxes of Jello pudding (Trifle here I come!)
Are you ready for the totals?

Retails for: $48.01- (not including the baby food clearance regular prices- because they just ring up as clearance.)

I got all of this for $16.36- seriously! I know I saved more the 65% off it says considering the baby items' regular prices factored in.

The toddler dinners, baby food and juices will be perfect for the trip we're taking in a few weeks. And the sippy cups! I have been searching for one with a straw at a good price for so long! I'm so excited!

  1. I am SO jealous. You have a talent of walking into these deals! I swear I'm in the grocery store 4x more than you but you're the one who seems to find all these amazing clearances. Who do you know on the inside?
