Here's my weekly dinner list.
Homemade vegetable pizza- with a cream cheese base and tons of veggies.
BLT's- Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato sandwiches- enough said!
Chicken Cordon Bleu- I just need to buy some swiss cheese
Pork Lo Mein
Homemade chicken nuggets
Remember I don't buy things at full price ever! Whenever I see an item at its best price I buy as much of it as I can or 3 months worth for our family. Even with meat when I see it at the price I want, I buy enough of it to last me 3-4 months, and separate them into 1/2-1 lbs bags and throw them in the freezer. Then when I need 1 lb of chicken- I pull the one bag out of the freezer, defrost it, and use it for my meal. Simple, and I NEVER pay over $1.99/lb for meat this way! Usually I pay under $1.39/lb.
So that means at the store today, I only need to get tomatoes, swiss cheese and a few other random veggies for the pizza. If you notice it's mostly produce, which doesn't keep for too long, but since I get my other grocery items at such great prices, I'm able to buy produce and easily stay within my budget for my family. Rancho Markets has the best produce prices this week, so I'm headed there later this morning to pick some things up.
