The first Friday of every month is the Gallery Stroll in Provo. (And don't worry if you miss it this month, there's always next month's first friday!)
The Gallery Stroll is awesome! You go to certain participating businesses and they will have art work from local artists on display and treats or something to munch on while you're there. (There was TONS of food when my husband I went in November, we were sorry we had eaten dinner before we went.)
We started at the Covey Center, but you could really start from any of the participating businesses and mingle, talk to the artists and have fun looking at art. It was a great cultural event, and we loved feeling like we were in Oregon or Los Angelos with all the artsy people that were there, and going around to just look and talk about art.
Here are the participating businesses:
Coal Umbrealla
Coleman Studios Art Gallery
Covey Center for the Arts
Legion
Maestro's
Mode Boutique
Muse Music
Painted Temple
Pennyroyal Cafe
Provo Community Church
Sego Art Center
Store Front Galleries
Terra Nova Gallery
The City Gallery
The Gallery at Cats Cradle
Utah County Art Gallery
Window Box Gallery
BYU Museum of Art (the MOA participates in Gallery stroll on a special exhibits basis.)
To learn more about it go to downtownprovo or gallerystroll
Also as a reminder there's a free Home Depot kids workshop on Saturday at 10. They're making a bird house, and for other free activities to put on your calendar check out my previous post for more details.

ReplyDeleteOk, we went last night and it was really fun! Cold, but fun. We went into places we never knew were even there. And who know Provo has so many art galleries? Thanks for the heads up
